Gokhan  Aykac

Gokhan Aykac received his PhD in Economics from Gazi University. He is a research associate in Department of Economics, Gazi University and a post-doctoral research fellow at the Labor and Worklife Program at Harvard University for the academic year 2016 – 2017 as Wertheim Fellow. He is working on economics of science under the supervisory of Professor Richard Freeman. His research topics have included labor economics, microeconomics, economics of science and poverty. He has also co-authored books on labor economics, banking system and translated books on labor economics. He has received the TUBITAK-2219 grant for his postdoctoral research visit to Harvard and IARIW grant for participating a conference in 2007. His PhD dissertation was on the effects of labor market regulations on the labor market. He taught economics at Turkish Naval Academy, Istanbul for the years 2011-2012. He is a member and co-founder of Employment Research Association, Turkey
