Quantitative Survey Team Are Preparing For The Second Pilot Survey in Lishui

Lishui Quantitative Survey team held bi-weekly group meetings on July 26th. In the meeting, the team members discussed the details for 2nd pilot study and some logistics about the real survey based on the feedback from the first Lishui quantitative pilot survey which was completed in June. Profs. Ann Forsyth, Sue Levkoff, Chen Hongtu and Prof. Zhou Jianfang from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Postdoctoral research fellows Lvu Yingying, Xvu Yusi joined meeting.

2022-2023 Simmons Awards proposals will be accepted starting August 1st!

The Harvard Center for Biological Imaging is excited to announce a renewal of the Simmons Awards Program for all Harvard Graduate students for the 2022-2023 academic year. Thanks to a generous donation from Dr. and Mrs. Daniel Simmons, the HCBI will be offering grants to offset the costs of imaging in the facility. To apply, please complete this form (link will open at 9:00AM, Monday, August 1st) by Wednesday August 24th at 5:00 PM.

New Guidance: Harvard Global Sponsored Awards

There are times that a proposal may require the involvement of Harvard Global (HG) (refer to Appendices A: Situations to Involve Harvard Global). The Harvard Global Sponsored Awards Guidance was created to ensure:

  • the efficient coordination between departments, SPA, and HG
  • the timely recording of information in GMAS
  • the timely review, sign-off, and submission of proposals

Palliative Care Research Group Will Provide Training Course for the Practicianers in Zhejiang Province in China

In the latest meeting of STGA Palliative Care research group, Dr. Eric Krakauer from Harvard Medical School and Mass General Hospital, Dr. Jia Zhimeng from Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care, Canada, and their research partner in China, Prof. Ning Xiaohong from Peking Union Medical College discussed the details of their collaboration on Palliative Care training program in PUMC. They will also work together to provide the PC training to the medical practicianers in Zhejiang province at Zhejiang Provincial Health Commission request in this late summer.
