2021 Kettyle and Borus Teaching Award Recipients

Joseph Stoklosa, MD, is the recipient of the 2021 Cynthia N. Kettyle Teaching Award for Medical Student Education in Psychiatry. This award is presented annually (since 2004) to HMS faculty members who have inspired medical students by their warmth, character and dedication to medical student teaching in psychiatry and have exemplified for students the vitality and relevance of psychiatry to medical practice.

Metasurfaces control polarized light at-will

In recent years, considerable attention has been paid to the ability of metasurface optics to manipulate polarized light. A variety of works and applications have been demonstrated showing, for instance, how metasurfaces can create optics with different behaviors that switch on the basis of light's polarization state, or that produce polarized holograms.
