Some students worked on their comedic timing in a joke-writing workshop. Others took the pulse of their classmates in CPR training.

In its ninth year, Wintersession offered participants workshops on portraiture, city management, synthetic biology, data science, and more. Students flexed both their academic and creative muscles and picked up practical skills during the optional 10-day session leading into the spring term.

Harvard’s Hasty Pudding names Milo Ventimiglia Man of the Year

Milo Ventimiglia has been named the 2019 Man of the Year by the Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the oldest theatrical organization in the U.S.

Science must join with social, policy evolution to battle climate change

Even as climate change reaches new and terrifying levels, hope remains — but the time to act is now.

That was the message Professor Daniel M. Kammen brought to a lecture in the Undiscovered Science series at Radcliffe Institute on Monday. Even before he began his talk, “An Energy Plan the Earth Can Live With,” he took a moment to stress the problem’s scope.
